This project challenged me to create a restaurant in a unique location with a distinct dining experience. I had to consider the many factors that define a modern restaurant: location, environment, cuisine, specialized features, and of course, the customer.
Introducing The Oak House.
Located along a popular hiking route, the Oak House is a secluded, affordable restaurant and inn that provides hikers a unique place to eat, drink, and relax. With the option to stay overnight, customers can take a break from long outdoor excursions and rest in a cozy, comfortable environment.
Location: Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Environment: A natural, open setting enhanced by many large windows with views of the surrounding woods and blooming indoor plants to bring the outdoors inside
Cuisine: a combination of comfort food and unique dishes gives diners a diverse and delicious set of options
